1. Barilla ProtienPLUS, high protein pasta. Vegetable protein, fiber and omega-3
I’m a self-described rocket hunted for carbohydrates, and for me, these beneficial noodles contain all of the health-related nutrients I need for a guilt free, healthy pasta dinner! This classic-tasting pasta is made from protein from lentils, chickpeas and peas and provides 17 grams of protein and 7 grams of fiber. It is an excellent source of essential omega-3 ALA fatty acids from flaxseed. It’s the closest thing to guilt-free pasta and tastes like the kind you grew up with.
When you pair them with a spicy or spicy puttanesca sauce made from tomatoes, kalamata olives, onions, garlic, paprika, and chilli flakes, you get a clean-tasting meal that provides the noodles’ strong antioxidants and protein. (Add plant-based parmesan cheese.) You can’t make a healthier pasta meal! These come in angel hair and all kinds of shapes, so fill yourself in.
2. Aloha Coconut Chocolate Almond organic protein bar with vegetable protein
When you need a pick-me-up or something to do with your 4 o’clock coffee after a workout, reach for a plant-based Aloha protein bar. The coconut-chocolate aroma packs a chocolate punch that will satisfy for hours and keep you away from the biscuit cupboard. The 14 grams of protein from a mixture of brown rice, pumpkin seeds and almonds feel replenishing. With tapioca syrup, coconut, and chocolate chips, you’ll feel like you have the joyous taste you need to feel “treated”. The solution to your snacking habits: make a snack. Just do it smart. The best way is to keep a box of it handy and say “Aloha” to the vegetable protein in a chocolate bar.

1. Milkadamia Pure Macadamia Oil Spray
For simple cooking, I just love Milkadamia’s pure macadamia oil spray, which has the “highest content of healthy monounsaturated fat and the lowest percentage of inflammatory omega 6 of any nut or seed oil”. While the original spray is perfect for cooking anything in the oven on a sheet pan without adding flavor, I especially love the Oh Mommy variety, which gives everything a delicious umami flavor.
This product is as easy as spraying my pan and then putting down my pressed tofu pieces for a crispy, non-stick cook. Oh Mommy gives tofu, potatoes, kale chips and much more an incredible, complex and hearty taste. This is an absolute must for me in non-stick cooking. You can shop online here on the Milkadamia website.
2. The Veggie Doctor QWELL Vegan Algae Omega 3 Supplement
Although you should always consult your doctor before adding a new supplement to your diet, this vegan omega-3 supplement fits my diet perfectly. There are many vegan sources of omega-3 fatty acids such as chia seeds, hemp seeds, walnuts, and more. However, this vitamin harnesses the power of algae oil, without carrageenan, which is often found in other brands of vegan omega-3 pills. Taking two of these supplements a day has been formulated by a doctor and will support my heart, brain, joints and immune health. This non-genetically modified omega-3 supplement is far more sustainable than fish oil and a super easy way for me to guarantee that I’m getting all of the good fatty acids of my day in addition to vitamin E. You can purchase these bespoke supplements from The Veggie Doctor’s website.

1. Joolies Organic Medjool Dates
Recently I made the recipe for The Beet’s Snickers bar with Joolies Orangic Medjool Dates as part of the middle layer for a sweet, sticky, and creamy texture very similar to a caramel sauce in a real candy bar. Best of all, when you pull the bar apart and the sticky date mixture expands like sticky cheese in a panini sandwich. For me, the dates were the icing on the cake. But besides my latest favorite recipe for desserts, I’m a big fan of dates for a healthy snack or sweetener substitute for baking. I prefer Joolie’s Organic Medjool Pit Whole Dates because they taste incredibly fresh and every bite feels like a burst of energy. When you order a package, the data comes in a sustainable paper box that you can dispose of the pits when you’re done. There’s always a better feeling not to use or waste plastic, and most other brands of dates come in a non-recyclable container.
Joolie’s Medjool Dates are harvested at the Kohl Family Farm in the Coachella Valley, where the Colorado River provides the purest water. If you take a bite of these dates, you’ll taste a little sunshine mixed with the cleanest water. Each date is hand-picked in three rounds to ensure full maturity. In this way you can ensure that there is no technical or mechanical process behind your latest favorite snack. If you are looking for a healthy way to satisfy your sugar cravings or just want to enjoy quality dates, I recommend you choose this brand.

2. Ezekiel Bread for Life
It’s safe to say that I eat avocado toast at least 8 times a week. I like the taste of the creamy pepper flake spread on crispy, crunchy toast. The only ingredient that completes my favorite food is the specific bread I use, Ezekiel bread. I keep a loaf of bread in my freezer, let it thaw, and put it in the toaster for about 40 seconds.
This type of sprouted bread is made from whole grains and legumes, which gives my toast the perfect crips texture and doesn’t taste like a cake like most breads do. This type of bread is much healthier than any other traditional brand mainly because it has no added sugar and is made from organic and natural ingredients such as wheat, millet, barley, spelled, soybeans and lentils.
If there is one bread that I don’t feel sluggish after eating, it must be Ezekiel.

1. Vega Hello Wellness mixer-free smoothie
My afternoon coffee turned into an afternoon smoothie thanks to Vegas Spring in Your Step smoothie. The mixer-free smoothie is filled with protein and caffeine to give me a boost of energy that I can use for the rest of the day. One serving contains 100 milligrams of caffeine, which is roughly the same as a cup of coffee. Together with caffeine, this smoothie contains 15 grams of protein and 24 percent of the recommended daily allowance of vitamin D.
The best part is that it takes less time to make this smoothie than it does a cup of coffee and it gives me even more energy. All you have to do is combine a scoop of powder with a cup of almond milk or plant-based milk of your choice and you have a creamy and energizing smoothie. Additionally, the vanilla cappuccino flavor will trick your taste buds into believing you have the right thing.
Vega’s Hello Wellness line includes two more mixer-free smoothies: You’ve Got Guts, which promote gut health, and It’s a No Brainer, which promotes brain health. Here you can buy Vega Hello Wellness Smoothies.
2. Blake’s crispy seed-based rice
Blake’s Seed Based Rice Crispy Treats are unique for their healthier ingredients like pumpkin, sunflower, and flax seeds. I’ve never had a gluten-free treat that melted in my mouth and tasted something like the original. The low-sugar snack is not only gluten-free, but also free from peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs, soy and sesame. This makes it the most allergy-friendly pleasure I’ve ever had. The best part is that this indulgence only has 90 calories!
Blake’s crispy rice treats come in two flavors: strawberry and chocolate chips. My personal favorite, the chocolate chip flavor, is the perfect combination of sweet from the dairy-free chocolate and crispy from the seed mix.
Blake’s Seed Based also offers snack bars in four flavors: raspberry, blueberry-lemon, pineapple and smores. Here you can buy crispy treats and snack bars made from Blake’s Seed Based Rice.

1. Laird Super-Food liquid vanilla creamer
Laird’s Super-Food Liquid Vanilla Coffee Creamer was my greatest asset after I decided it was probably time to give up my $ 7 daily matcha latte habit. Initially, I switched from my usual filter coffee to a matcha in the morning so I could still caffeinate in the early afternoon with no jitter and an inevitable crash. After calculating exactly how much I was spending on lattes each month, and after some experts failed to replicate my matcha latte order at home – almond milk with a little custard – I knew I had to find a DIY way to caffeinate . Enter Laird’s vanilla creamer. After discovering the product in the Whole Foods dairy-free aisle – you can also find it at Sprout, Kroger, and on the Laird website – I’m back to the bean. Now, with the help of the milk jug’s functional mushroom mix, I’m nervous and haven’t taken a nap in the early afternoon. Thanks to the creamy coconut milk base and vanilla flavor, my coffee has never tasted better and my bank account has never been happier.

Pond Coffee, New Orleans
My editor’s favorite of the week is a New Orleans plant-based coffee spot that no longer used oat milk as an alternative and made it a unique option. Pond Coffee is a pop-up currently operating in the Small Mart on Chartres Street. Pond sells espresso drinks with a frothed oat milk and recently dumped all dairy products from its menu. The café offers a variety of coffee beans and shows them to all coffee lovers who want to take more of their coffee specialties home with them. The oat-based espresso bar offers a selection of favorite drinks, from cortado to lattes. Now you can order a coffee without asking for a herbal substitute. Anyone walking the neighborhood selling espresso from their street window can stop by to have their favorite espresso, buy a bag of coffee, or meet the friendly baristas behind this pop-up. Next time you’re in NO, take a look at the pond. (Check their Instagram first as opening hours are changing, but currently they are 8 am to 2 pm Sunday through Wednesday and 8 am to 5 pm Thursday through Saturday.)
